Bring Me Hope

Some friends of ours from our old church have an orginization in China called Bring Me Hope. They go to China every summer, and put on week long camps for the Chinese orphans. It is such a precious time of ministry, for both the orphans and the volunteers. The volunteers are assigned two "buddies" for the week. My friend Christoper Calvi is over there right now, and on his blog he says that he had two of the best buddies you could ask for. He also said that when the week was up, it was a very tearful goodbye. He will most likely never see his buddies again, but they have built lifelong memories together he says. God has truly moved in a mighty way through Bring Me Hope.

That smile can brighten up even the grayest day.

This picture just breaks my heart into a million pieces. Look at that face. I just want to run up, hug him, and never let go.

Their website is http://www.bringmehope.org/ go and look at the videos on the main site.

Come Ye Sinners

Come ye sinners, poor and needy

Weak and wounded, sick and sore

Jesus ready stands to save you

Full of pity, love, and power

Come ye thirsty, come and welcome

God's free bounty glorify

True belief and true repentance

Every grace that brings you nigh

I will arise and go to Jesus

He will embrace me in His arms

In the arms of my dear Savior

Oh, there are ten thousand charms

Come ye weary, heavy-laden

Lost and ruined by the fall

If you tarry until you're better

You will never come at all

I will arise and go to Jesus

He will embrace me in His arms

In the arms of my dear Savior

Oh, there are ten thousand charms

Random Quotes

I love saying random quotes. My latest quote is "Lets go dancing". I was at the mall with my friend and her mom and saw a shirt that was a little crazy so I picked it up and said "Hey, lets go dancing". It's best when I am hyped up on coffee. There is so much more emotion behind my quotes... there's so much more emotion behind everything with coffee. Well anyway, lets go dancing...

Love You

I think that this is the cutest song. My mom and her friend heard it at the movies (during the advertisements), and asked me to try to find it. I couldn't find it for the longest time, or only found little samples of it, but I finally found it tonight on youtube!!

Love You

Give a little time for the child within you,
don’t be afraid to be young and free.
Undo the locks and throw away the keys
and take off your shoes and socks, and run you.
La, la, la...

Give a little time for the child within you,
don’t be afraid to be young and free.
Undo the locks and throw away the keys
and take off your shoes and socks, and run you.
La, la, la...

Run through the meadow and scare up the milking cows
Run down the beach kicking clouds of sand
Walk a windy weather day, feel your face blow away
Stop and listen: Love you.

Roll like a circus clown, put away your circus frown
Ride on a roller coaster upside down
Waltzing Matilda, Carey loves a kinkatchoo
Joey catch a kangaroo, hug you.

Dandylion, milkweed, silky on a sunny sky
Reach out and hitch a ride and float on by
Balloons down below catching colors of the rainbow
red, blue and yellow-green: I love you.

Bicycles, tricycles, ice cream candy
Lollypops, popsicles, licorice sticks
Solomon Grundy, Raggedy Andy
Tweedledum and Tweedledee, home free.

Cowboys and Indians, puppydogs and sandpails
Beachballs and baseballs and basketballs, too.
I love forget-me-nots, fluffernutters, sugarpops
I’ll hug you and kiss you and love you
La, la, la... Love you.

Coffee for Joss

I think that the best thing ever to be invented was coffee. Coffee and I are not exactly the best mix because I'll get really hyper and loud, but I LOVE IT!!!! So in honor of our relationship here is an ode to coffee:

Coffee, delicious coffee, how I love your good taste,
You are so tasty with cream and sugar,
A cup of you I'll never waste.
Whether your iced or hot,
I'll love you the same,
My feelings for you will never change.

I am known among some of my friends at church for having a coffee "addiction". I don't really have an addiction...well, only in summer. Since I don't need a lot of sleep, and because there is no school, I drink a lot of it. Yesterday I had two cups back to back. The effect was CRAZINESS!!! I don't think I've laughed so hard or talked so fast...EVER. It was fun.
I LOVE COFFEE!!!

My Sweet Friend

In just two weeks my friend Priscilla will be here. I am so excited to see her. We saw each other last year, and now so soon after we see each other again. We usually joke about how old we'll be the next time we see each other. We thought maybe 19, but we were three years early!! I can't wait to see you Priscilla!! Love ya!!!

Friends and Black and White Photos

Two of my favorite things are friends and black and white photos. What's even better is when they are together.

"Never shall I forget the days I spent with you. Continue to be my friend for you will always find me yours."

Mr. Darcy!!

Pride and Prejudice is my absolute FAVORITE book and movie. I love the drama, the way they talk with one another, the setting, and... Mr. Darcy!! My friend and I say that our future husbands have to be "Mr. Darcy like". He is so proper, and gentlemanly... you don't see many gentleman these days. He is at first stuck up...and well, prideful. Therefore, the pride in "Pride and Prejudice". But after, he is much more "aimiable" as described in the book.
Pride and Prejudice with Collin Firth as Mr. Darcy is my favorite version of the film. All 5 hours of it.

The Beard's New Home

My sister and her husband just bought their first home. They live about 13 miles away from us, the same distance as their old place. They live in a new gated community called
The Lakes. There are three lakes where they live, one is right down the street from them.

Here they are: Ryan, Janina, Ethan and Joshua. Here is the Beard's new house. It is sooo nice!!! The boys absolutely love their new house.

Ah, the kitchen...the HUGE kitchen. This is my favorite part of the house.
Here is their living room...so spacious.
Here are the boys in their play room...when Jack is over it looks like a tornado went through there.

The 4th of July!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Here are some pictures of the 4th of July. We had my grandparents, and my sister and her two boys over. It was pretty hot that day, so we swam A LOT. Then we went to the park down the street because there is a perfect view of the firework show that the stadium puts on, then the city puts one on right after. I LOVE FIREWORKS!!

Here are "the boys". Ethan (3), Joshua (2), and Jack (3). Here are the three fishes.
Julia made this Flag cake for dessert. It was really good and so patriotic.
HOW CUTE IS THIS PICTURE!!!!!
One of the reasons I LOVE the 4th of July is: THE BEAUTIFUL FIREWORKS!!!
